How do I book an event or verify availability?
Click on Book Now from any page to access my simple application. Before you complete the application, please view my availability calendar to make sure I am available for the date you would like. The availability calendar can be accessed from the application itself or by visiting my Rates & Availability page. If your date is available, complete the simple application and you will be contacted to verify your information. You will be provided with a copy of my Terms & Conditions to review while I process your application. Once your application has been approved, you will be required to submit a $100.00 deposit to finalize your reservation.
I have an urgent question and would like to speak with you? How late can I call?
Please keep in mind that like most individuals I also work a full time job during the week. Because of my hours I may not be able to accept your call until later in the evening. I recommend that you leave me a detailed message indicating the latest time I can call you. I make all of my return calls between the hours of 6:30pm and 10:00pm. If you are available later than 10:00pm, please let me know. I am usually able to return calls until 1:00am.
What payment methods are available to me?
I accept all major credit cards, personal checks, US Postal Service money orders, PayPal and cash payments. Payments can be made online 24 hours a day, seven days a week by clicking on the Client Services link that can be found on any page of this site. Online payments are credited instantly upon approval and a receipt will be emailed to you shortly after you complete your payment. For your peace of mind, you may also print out your receipt at the time of payment. If you prefer, you may also mail in your payments via personal check or money order made payable to Chris Englert. The payment address is 686 N. Tacoma Street, Allentown PA 18109.
Is a contract and /or deposit required?
Yes. For mutual security and to protect the integrity of my business, I do require a non-refundable deposit of $100.00 along with your acceptance of my Terms & Conditions that will be provided at the time of your application. Please keep in mind that although the Terms & Conditions are a part of the application process, you are under no obligation until you accept them by submitting your deposit.
How do I cancel a reservation and what happens to my deposit?
If you must cancel a reservation, you must complete a Deposit Waiver form, available by contacting me. This form simply states that you are requesting the cancellation and are willingly forfeiting your deposit and that I as the service provider am no longer obligated to provide any services to you. This form will release both you and I from our obligation to each other. Any amount you paid in excess of the $100.00 deposit will be refunded according to the Terms/Conditions.
Do you offer a Refund Policy?
Yes, there is one exception. If for any reason there is an interruption in service due to a malfunction of my equipment, I will provide a prorated refund for the amount of time that the services were suspended. If for any reason there is a malfunction or service issue that is beyond my control, I will not be liable and no refund will be issued. Examples of this situation include but are not limited to inclement weather, power surges or other hosting facility faults. Please note that in 15 years I have never had to refund any client due to a malfunction or personal cause.
When is my remaining balance due?
Any balance that remains on your account will be due and payable no later than the day of your event. Payment is expected to be made before the start of your services and can be paid directly to your DJ in the form of a cash payment. No other payment methods will be accepted during your event. This is simply to avoid the chance of a Returned Check and to guarantee that your account has been paid in full by the deadline. If you are unable to make a cash payment, it is recommended that you make an online payment before arriving at the event. Just bring along your receipt as proof of payment.
What is your usual attire?
I will arrive in a full suit for wedding receptions and neat casual dress for all other events unless otherwise requested. If you request that I wear a tuxedo for your wedding reception, I will be more than happy to rent one but will have to charge 50% of the rental fee.
What is the minimum amount of time you will DJ for?
The minimum amount of time that I book for is three hours and the maximum is six hours. Any time in excess of 6 hours must be approved in advance.
Do you specialize in any ethnic or international events?
No. Although I am open many events, I specialize in weddings and birthday parties.
How much time do you usually need to set up? Do you require that the site or client provide a table for you to set up on?
I prefer to have at least 2 hours to set-up. This will allow me to provide the cleanest and most attractive set-up and of course, to make sure everything is functioning properly. I do prefer to have a standard 6 foot banquet table available and if this is not possible, I can bring my own.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
No, I do not require a meal break but if offered, I appreciate the gesture. If a meal break is provided, I will make sure to load enough music to get through the meal period.
What is your overtime rate?
If you decide that you would like to extend your event, I will be happy to stay as long as I am available beyond your contracted time. I do not charge any fees in addition to your hourly rate. If your hourly rate is $100.00, that is the amount you will be charged for overtime service. Payment will be due at the time of your request otherwise, services will end as scheduled. Please remember that only cash payments will be accepted during your event.
