How do I book an event?

Booking an event is very simple! Click on the Book An Event link that is found on the top of
every page. You will be directed to my Service Estimate form. This Estimate form is very basic
and includes the minimum about of information that I will need to verify my availability . After I
receive your Estimate and check my availability, I will send you an email with instructions on
completing the final step of the booking process. This form does not obligate you to any
services, it is basically a request for information.

What payment methods are available to me?

I accept all major credit cards and personal checks. Credit card payments can be made
online, at any time via the Clients Only section. For your convenience, I also offer the option to
schedule payments for future dates and if you prefer, you can also set up recurring payments
that automate the process according to the schedule you create. Any web form used to
collect information is contained on a secure server using the latest SSL technology. Your
information is safe and your privacy guaranteed!

Is a contract and /or deposit required?

Yes. For mutual security and to protect the integrity of my business, I do require a deposit of $100.00 along with a Service Agreement before I can hold your
reservation. The Service Agreement is a simple and straight forward statement of what I require from you and also what you can expect from me. Your security
deposit, often referred to as a retainer is required because once I guarantee your reservation,  I will close out that date to all other events. In the event that you must
cancel, this non-refundable deposit will act as partial reimbursement for the loss of business that could have been conducted on the date of your reservation.

Do you have a cancellation and Refund policy?

Yes, I offer both. If you must cancel your reservation for any reason, you may do so within one week (7 calendar days)  without penalty with the exception of your
security deposit which is non-refundable. If you fail to allow at least one weeks notice, you will be billed a fee of $50.00 which serves as an early termination fee.
Upon receipt of this fee, you will be released from your contractual obligation immediately and receive written confirmation.
Refunds - In the event that there is a
technical problem with the sound or lighting system, you will receive a prorated refund for the amount of time in which the services were suspended. If the
suspension is due to a problem or issue with the hosting facility, you must seek restitution from the management of the facility.

How do I complete my contract and deposit?

After you have received approval for your chosen date, you will receive an email containing a link to your Service Agreement. After you have read and endorsed the
Service Agreement online, you will required to submit your deposit online before you can submit your Service Agreement. For your convenience, this payment will be
processed through PayPal allowing you to access your account if applicable. Don't have a PayPal account? No problem. You can still make your payment without
having to login to a PayPal account. If you prefer to mail in your deposit or are unable to pay online, please contact DJ Chris Englert and request to have your Service
Agreement mailed to you. You may then return your completed Service Agreement with your check or money order made payable to Chris Englert. I recommend
making your payments online if possible. It's fast, safe and will guarantee your reservation. Reservations are accepted in the order received.

I already booked an event and submitted my deposit. Can I make additional payments on my balance?

Yes! This website is designed to accept online payments any time day or night by visiting the Clients Only section. As mentioned previously, you may want to take
advantage of my automatic payments system. Set-up your payments and choose when you want to pay them and I'll take care of the rest. Never worry about forgetting
your payment again. You can also schedule just one single payment for a later date as well. I make it fast and convenient to make sure your payments are received
on time.

When is my remaining balance due?

After you make your deposit, your remaining balance will be due no later than 24 hours before your event. If you will be making your final payment online, you may do
so at any time before your event as online payments are credited instantly. If you will be paying with a check or money order, please mail your payment at least 10
days in advance to guarantee timely delivery. I am unable to accept credit/debit card payments on the day of your event therefore, if you plan to use this method to pay
off your balance, you must do so online at least 24 hours in advance. If you prefer you can also call me and I will take your payment over the phone. Please note that I
take security very seriously and will not accept any payment that cannot be verified. Any verifiable fraud attempts will be reported to local authorities.

Is your website safe?

Yes! For your security, all web forms and payment pages are protected with 128-bit ssl encryption. I have chosen Elbowspace Business Solutions to host my online
forms on their protected server as an added benefit to you. Any time you complete an online document through this website, you are protected. You can always tell
when you are protected by looking at the prefix of the web address. Look for the https:// prefix. The (S) indicates that the site is secure.

What music genres are in your collection?

50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, Classic Rock, Country, Hip Hop, Motown, Oldies, Pop, R&B, Rock and Top 40.

Do you have liability insurance?

No. Normally this type of insurance is only required because the hosting facility is worried that the DJ will somehow damage their property. This is completely
impossible in my opinion and because of this, I do not carry nor will I carry this type of insurance. The second reason that I am against this insurance is simply the
fact that the premiums are so high and I would certainly have to increase my rates to cover the additional expense. If your hosting facility requires that your DJ have
liability insurance, I will be unable to offer you service.

Describe your DJ style:

My style depends on your preference. I can be very laid back and out of the picture or I can be very upbeat and interact with the guests. Since 1996 I have entertained
for many different functions and have the ability to easily adjust to your preference.

What is your usual attire?

I will arrive in a full suit for wedding receptions. For all other events I will dress according to the choice you make on your booking form.

If you do not have one of the songs pre-requested by the client, do you require that they provide it?

No. I have a very large database of music ranging from the 50's to the current chart toppers. I will ask you in advance if you have any special music requests. Most
often, I will have your selections and if I do not, I will make sure to get it for you. If for any reason I are unable to obtain the songs you requested, I will let you know and
offer you the option of providing it yourself.

How many other DJs do you work with?

I work with one other DJ who will occasionally  assist me with setting up and tearing down. In the event that I become unavailable due to illness or family emergency,
my partner will take over for me and is capable of providing the same level of service that I would have. In almost 15 years, I have never called off sick nor missed an
event that I was scheduled for.

What is the minimum amount of time you will DJ for?

The minimum amount of time I book for is three hours and the maximum is six hours. Any time more or less must be approved in advance.

Is the client able to meet the DJ before booking?

Absolutely! As a part of my normal booking process, I actually prefer to meet with the bride/groom at least once before the event.  This allows us to verify all of your
information and make sure that you get the personal attention that you deserve. I can come to you, or you can come to my office. This is a great way to become
familiar with myself and learn a little more about me. If you are booking a wedding reception, you may request a meeting by calling me.

Do you specialize in any ethnic or international events?

No. Although I am open many events, I specialize in weddings and birthday parties.

What (if any) special equipment, such as disco balls or lighting, is offered with your service?

I provide a premium lighting service that consists of two different packages. A basic package that is great for small events and a deluxe package that is great for
large events or for those who want a nightclub type feel for their event. The basic package costs $100.00 and the deluxe package costs $200.00 both of which are
one time flat rates for the full length of your event.

How much time do you usually need to set up? Do you require that the site or client provide a table for you to set up on?

I prefer to have at least 3 or 4 hours to set-up just to make sure everything is perfect. Of course, if you choose the lighting service, I will need at least 4 hours due the
large amount of equipment to set-up. The sooner I can set-up the better. I do require a table for set-up but I normally work these details out with the facility directly.

Do you usually emcee the event or talk between songs?

Yes, but again that depends on what you want. I will take care of the introductions, interact with your guests, offer contests and games and maybe even crack a joke
or two. If prefer that I do not do these events, you can simply let me know.

What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?

No, I do not require a meal break but if offered, I appreciate the gesture. If a meal break is provided, I will make sure to load enough music to get through the meal
period.

What is your overtime rate?

If you decide that you would like to extend your event, I will be happy to stay as long as I am available beyond your contracted time. I do not charge any fees in addition
to your hourly rate. If your hourly rate is $100.00, that is the amount you will be charged for overtime service. Payment will be due at the time of your request
otherwise, services will end as scheduled.
